I'm importing data using MXLABOR with MIF in 7.1 and it is requiring I assign a Vendor and Contract on the interface.  Right now we are only interested in the internal labor aspects and do not have the vendors set up, much less contracts.

I went into the object and tried to exclude and it doesn't allow it.  Any help on working around this or the proper way to import?

Thanks

I went into Laborcraftrate.Contractnum again in dbconfig and it isn't required.  I checked that yesterday because I figured that is the only way it should be required through the MBO is if it is checked off there.

I tried the MXLabor interface.  Got frustrated so created a labor only interface (the maximo one comes with craft etc..) so I loaded up all the labor records just to get that out of the way.

Then I created a laborcraftrate interface (figured I would do it one by one and see if it worked).  And no dice that way either.

Let me know if you have any other ideas, at this point I'm about to give it the finger and do a SQL updated and reset the sequential ;D.  I hate doing things like that though, would much rather do it the "maximo" way through the interface.

nope.  I don't have the XML's on this computer but when I get home tonight I'll post some very detailed data on this issue I'm dealing with.

Sorry for the delay, I shelved it has I had to set up a DEV and UAT along with spitting out a custom calibration app…

Will be banging my head on this next week again.

When I started this was a nice blank slate.  I created each record one by one in maximo spit out the XML files to see what needed to be put in and then chopped down the XML to only what was needed and or had a value to upload.  Then it started giving me that requirement so I started down the path of looking as to why in the world it would require it.

It doesn't require it from the front end, there was nothing on the db config application either so I was a bit stumped then have to shelf the effort for a while to deal with other things as the priority of this thing tanked :).

So when you load it up it doesn't give you any of those requirements?
