Dynamically change the file name of a BIRT output report

I have been looking for this functionality for a while and now I have finally found it. This feature is available for BIRT 2.3.1, which means you will have to have Maximo 7.1.1.5 or above installed as it comes with BIRT 2.3.2. You will have to write some java for this to work, but at least we can dynamically change the output report name, for example, appending the date and time to the name of the report.

  1. Hi, I’m new in Max and need to know how to implement this exactly in Max. Can u provide exact steps if just putting a date in the exported file as filename, as the url doesn’t seem to describe clearly? We’re using 7.6.0.8. Thx.
