Maximo Cognos integration

If you use Cognos from IBM, then Maximo fix pack 7.1.1.6 now supports Cognos reporting.  I have heard alot about Cognos, but I have yet to use it.  If you do use it, how do you like it? Is it easy to use or is there a steep learning curve? [IBM Support]

    I am a certified Cognos developer so I might be bias but Cognos is a lot easier to work with for newbees than BIRT. I have just started the Cognos integration with Maximo so I will find out first hand whether this works OK. I am certain that IBM at some point will phase out BIRT in Maximo as Cognos is their strategic reporting tool.
