Can BIRT be configured with remote DB2 database.?How?I have System-2 with DB2 which is remotely accessing the System-1 DB2 successfully through DB2 by TCP/IP connection.i have configured BIRT on system-2.can i access System-1 DB2?How?
Any Help will be appreciated.

I think it has to be run by the installer but I am not 100% sure on that.

i saw change_pmp.zip file in c:\ibm\smp\pmp folder.is it i need to install change_pmp.zip file also through solution installer?

for what purpose it used?
did the above problem arise bcoz i have not installed it(bcoz this folder contains v710_03.ora, v710_03.mxs and v710_03.db2 files)

is it we can install this file after installation of base services 7.1.1.4?

can i redeploy maximo.ear file before to run maxinst command.

No, i used launchpad.exe from calibration 7.1 module s/w folder CZ487ML which contains files and folder like (install,launchpad.launchpad.exe,autorun.inf,launchpad.ini and launchpad.sh)

is it fine?
or it has to be install by solution installer

That seems like the right sequence to me. Did you use solution installer to install calibration 7.1?

Hi chon,

is this fine if we install more then one module with maximo 7.1 and then configure demo database.like i did i install MBS 7.1.1.4 and calibration7.1 and at the last i did configure Demo DB (which is giving error as i mention above)

or is there other sequences to do it?

I have not yet installed Maximo on DB2 so I can’t really say what is happening there. Maybe you can try opening that V710_03 file and removing the section that is trying to create this index and try again…

Hi chon,

After installing Maximo base services 7.1.1.4 I installed Maximo calibration 7.1 module.
when i configured demo database i got this error.

You have to installed the 7.1.1.5 fix pack which can be found here. It's a pretty straight forward install. You just basically run the solution installer.

i want to upgrade maximo base services 7.1.1.0 to base services 7.1.1.5 what i should do for that?

is it i need another fix pack(package)7.1.1.5 to install or it will take automaticaly when we go thru process solution installer

what other things i should do to upgrade it?
