Tip for the Day:
On the SR object there is a field titled SITEVISIT.
It is not on the WORKORDER table.
Many client site/industries have a process where … in order for the work to get started, the maintenance tech must first perform a site visit (sometimes called walkdown). This requirement may start with the WO, or, it might even start with the preceding SR.
If the above process is valid then the Maximo Administrator needs to:
1) DBCONG: add a new field to WORKORDER (sameas SR.SITEVISIT)…..ie YORN
2) APPLICATION DESIGNER: add it to the SR (and/or CREATESR) screens
3) APPLICATION DESIGNER: add it to WOTRACK
4) create a CROSSOVER entry under TICKET2WO
