Are you sick and tired of year old Maximo UI design? Well, Maximo 7.1.1.5 comes with a new skin.
It’s called “tivoli09” and it is disabled by default. To enable it, all you have to do is simply uncomment this line
webclient.skin=tivoli09
found in the ‘webclient.properties’ file. Of course you need to rebuild and deploy your maximo.ear file. Take a look at some of the awesome screenshots:

Hi ,
it is successfully implemented in maximo and it look is better than previous look
For implementing This theme in maximo 7.1.1.5 , Do we need license from IBM ?
Anybody have any thoughts about this affecting performance? The elements are more 3-D and thus may take more band width or a little more processing resources on the server. For 20 users are so it shouldn’t be a big deal, but it may for large Enterprise Maximo impelementations.
You can look at the images and see if they are larger than the original ones. If not, then this should not affect performance.
Hi,
I jusy made this change and I like the look.
But I have a condtion set up on the Site field of Inventory so when the Siteid for the inventory record does not match the defsite of the user it makes the background of the field red.
This skin made that stop working.
Do I need to change from the cssclass property for the condition to another property?
Or do I now have to edit the class file?
Dave
I am not sure. Try posting this in our support forum.
I’d also like to point out that you can change the skin for a single user session from 7.1.x.x FORWARD to the newer tivoli09 skin in the same way as you can change the 7.5 BACK to classic. If you’d like to try the new 7.5 skin without rebuilding/redeploying the EAR files in 7.1, simply change the URL by adding “&skin=tivoli09” to the end. So your URL would look like:
http://ip:port/maximo/ui/?skin=tivoli09
Note: I have not found a way to change the login screen, so this must be done AFTER logging into Maximo.
